ABHM

America's Black Holocaust Museum (ABHM) was founded in 1988 by Dr. James Cameron (pictured above), the only known survivor of a lynching. The ABHM st艺术ed out as a storefront in Milwaukee, Wisconsin that attracted many local, 国家, and inter国家 visitors. 然而,对于博士. Cameron's passing in 2006 and the economic downturn in 2008, the ABHM had to shut its doors. It eventually found its new home online in 2012. The online experience allows for anyone, anywhere to access the cutting-edge, 互动, and unique virtual museum and its 教育al resources.

For more information and ways to celebrate freedom, 家庭, 艺术, 文化, 和社区, please visit ABHM for their virtual museum and online exhibits at ABH博物馆.

Ways to learn about diversity

Group of hands coming together

  1. Be 开放 about differences - Share how your background has influenced you and encour年龄 others to do the same
  2. 问问题—— Ask respectfully if you have a question.
  3. 〇鼓励提问 Be 开放 to questions about the things that make you different and ask questions in return.
  4. 〇培养友谊 Sharing experiences and asking questions is a great way to develop new friendships.
  5. 〇看个人 Understand that each person is an individual and cannot be expected to speak for his or her 文化. Do not assume everyone within a 文化 shares the same beliefs and experiences.
